APPROVAL TYPE: Federal Aviation Administration STC and PMA (eliminating the need for field approval).
STC NUMBER: SA00963WI
APPLICABLE AIRCRAFT: Piper PA-31, PA-31-300, PA-31-325, and PA-31-350 all series for each model.
INSTALLATION: Initial installation can be accomplished in approximately 8 hours, including documentation. Existing heated windshield (if installed) must be rendered "inoperative" before this STC can be installed. Complete installation instructions and diagrams are included. Removal or installation, as dictated by changes in the weather conditions or seasons, requires only 10 minutes.
LIMITATIONS: Even though this anti-ice plate is very effective, installation of the STC has not been demonstrated to meet requirements of FAR 91.527 or 135.227 for flight into known icing conditions.
LEAD TIME: Kits are normally in stock and available for immediate worldwide shipment. However, fluctuation in demand may cause up to a 90 day delivery delay.
